Emergency First Aid Course

Course duration – 3 hours.

The certificate will last for 3 years from the date of the course.

There is no formal exam, a certificate of attendance will be issued. This course is not regulated by the HSE.

 On completion of training, candidates should be able to:

• Understand the role of the first aider including reference to:
  1. The importance of preventing cross-infection
  2. The need for recording incidents and accidents
  3. Use of available equipment
  4. Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and
  5. effectively in an emergency
  6. Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious
  7. Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  8. Provide basic instruction in the use of an AED
  9. Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded, bleeding and in shock
  10. Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries

Suitable for sports coaches that have a basic responsibility for their team members.

Cost: £30.00 + VAT per candidate
